    Teaneck Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Behaviorist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assessing and developing behavioral interventions for students, with a focus on enhancing their academic performance and social-emotional well-being. You will collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff to implement evidence-based strategies tailored to the needs of our diverse student population.

    Essential Performance Responsibilities:
    • Conduct behavioral assessments to identify students’ needs and create individualized intervention plans.
    • Implement and monitor behavioral strategies and interventions within the classroom and school setting.
    • Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
    • Provide training and resources to staff on effective behavior management techniques.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and intervention outcomes

    Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, or a related field.
    • NJDOE CST certification and/or
    • Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred.
    • Experience working in K-12 educational settings, particularly with diverse student populations.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering a positive school environment.

    Additional Duties
    Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

    Equipment
    Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.

    Travel Requirements
    Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

    Salary: Pursuant to the TTEA Salary Agreement Enclosed (Step 1, MA guide) or Per Diem Rate pursuant to qualifications.
