Member Service Representative I
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Member Service Representative I to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting our valued members with a wide range of financial services. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include helping members with routine banking needs and educating them about our deposit and loan products. You will also have the opportunity to build and maintain strong relationships with Teamster locals and affiliated employers, contributing to our community-focused mission.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
· Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments accurately and efficiently
· Maintain and balance cash drawer daily
· Assist members by phone with transactions and inquiries professionally and confidentially
· Take ownership of member interactions, including follow-ups and cross-team coordination
· Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations to prevent fraud and losses
· Open new accounts, update member information, and resolve account issues
· Educate members on deposit and loan products
· Handle and resolve difficult member situations within guidelines
· Participate in ongoing training and self-development
· Seek opportunities to improve processes and service delivery
· Represent the credit union at Teamster community events
· Communicate regularly with Teamster Joint Council #37 locals via phone, email, site visits, and mail
· Build relationships to increase member engagement and trust
· Perform other duties as needed to support organizational goals

· Proficient in computer software, data entry, ten-key, and basic math
· Discretion in handling confidential member information
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to travel between branches as needed
· Knowledge of negotiable items and member identification standards
· Strong research and problem-solving abilities
· Professional demeanor and ability to represent the credit union positively

Education / Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
Experience Required: A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in banking, financial services, or customer service.
