Senior IT Business Analyst – Hybrid (Lansing, MI)

Duration: 12 months (extension possible)

Rate: $45-49/hr.

Work Model: Hybrid (2 days onsite, no remote-only)

Location Requirement: Local candidates within 1–1.5 hours of Lansing, MI

Core Responsibilities

Business Analysis

• Lead requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, and workshops
• Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria
• Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and process modeling
• Act as liaison between business, development, and QA teams
  
  

Azure DevOps & Agile Delivery

• Manage backlogs, user stories, tasks, and defects
• Support sprint planning, grooming, and tracking
• Maintain requirements traceability using DevOps
• Track progress and metrics via DevOps dashboards
  
  

QA & Testing

• Define and review test plans, test cases, and QA strategy
• Support functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing
• Manage defect lifecycle through resolution
• Ensure test coverage and data validation
  
  

Process Improvement

• Identify and implement process optimization opportunities
• Recommend automation and system enhancements
• Support change management, SOPs, and training
  
  

Documentation & Communication

• Develop process flows, business rules, and system documentation
• Present findings to stakeholders and leadership
• Ensure clear communication between technical and business teams
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (IT, Computer Science, Business, or related)
• 7 years Business Analyst experience
• Hands-on Azure DevOps experience
• Strong QA/UAT experience
• Deep understanding of SDLC and Agile
• Strong documentation and stakeholder management skills
  
  

Preferred

• Experience in enterprise-scale Agile environments
• Exposure to SQL, APIs, data integration, system architecture
• Experience with CI/CD and release processes
