Overview

Seeking an experienced Buyer to manage purchase order processing, procurement operations, and supply chain transactions in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, urgency handling, and the ability to manage high-volume purchasing activities while ensuring accurate order execution and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of purchase orders (POs), including creation, updates, tracking, and closeout.
• Process and convert requisitions into purchase orders within ERP systems.
• Monitor and maintain all open purchase orders to ensure timely fulfillment and accurate records.
• Analyze purchasing activity and prepare reports on spend management, vendor performance, and PO status.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and procurement automation.
• Support catalog/punchout purchasing programs and drive efficiency improvements.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and support procurement best practices.
• Ensure compliance with established sourcing policies, procedures, and procurement standards.
• Partner with internal teams to identify and implement system enhancements that improve purchasing performance.

Required Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and purchase order management.
• Experience handling high-value and time-sensitive purchasing requests.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience using ERP systems and e-Procurement platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft 9.2.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager), CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management).
