Job Summary

Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Recreational Program-Lead Teacher, for the Teams of Tomorrow (TOT) Lake Norman franchise. TOT is a preschool based program that services local schools as an ancillary service to our students & families. The TOT program teaches over 25 ball handling skills to the children throughout the season that they will get to show off to their family and loved ones at a Halftime Performance & End of Year performance. You will inspire young learners (ages 3-5) through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that foster creativity, social skills, and physical well-being. TOT follows a set curriculum that was developed by a team of professionals that focuses on academics, athletics, and overall agility. Each class is comprised of warm up activities, a new skill, brain train activities, game time & clean up. In this dynamic role, you will lead a group of students (0-12 students/per class) to deliver enriching recreational experiences tailored to preschool children’s needs, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and joyful environment. Your passion for early childhood development will help shape memorable learning adventures that promote holistic growth and lifelong love for learning.

Responsibilities

• Implement innovative recreational curricula that incorporate physical activities and social-emotional learning aligned with TOT standards.
• Manage the class environment & expectations by maintaining organized spaces that promote safety, independence, and exploration while adhering to childcare regulations and best practices.
• Ensure effective classroom management, behavior management strategies, during TOT classes.
• Communicate with families to children’s progress & program updates that align with TOT national guidelines & expectations.
• Follow all policies & procedures required of each specific school site the TOT program is offered.
• Communicate & participate in TOT training throughout the season as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in preschool or early childhood education with a strong background in classroom management and passion for implementing preschool curriculum
• Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques suitable for young children in both classroom settings and recreational activities.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, staff, and community partners.
• Familiarity with daycare regulations, private school standards, and child welfare practices.
• Flexible schedule
• Reliable transportation & availability to transport weekly materials to & from TOT classes

Looking for candidates to start MID August- EARLY September. Training may be required prior to start date & will be paid at $10/hr training rate. Hours are flexible and there is potential for additional hours. While schedule will be set prior to the season we are looking for candidates with available hours between 9:00-1:00 with Monday-Friday availability.

Pay: $1,000.00 - $2,000.00 per month
