Job Description:
Drivers will travel in groups of 3-5 drivers, one per vehicle, and each group will work with a Lead Driver. Drivers will stay in the same group from pick up to drop off locations. This is an Independent Contractor OTR, CMV driving position that may require the driver to stay out on the road for multiple days depending upon the drop off locations. Drivers are responsible for the condition of each of their vehicles during transport and will be held responsible for any damages that may be incurred during each trip. Drivers must be on time to both pick up and drop off locations as well as check with the Lead Driver before each trip departs.
Drivers must complete and turn in all paperwork to their Lead Driver on time. Drivers must keep good communication skills and be able to work in a group setting. We require all of our drivers to keep accurate, daily, DOT Driver Logs using the MOTIVE app. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAPER LOGS! After dropping the vehicles at the drop off location, drivers will work together in a group setting and drive back to the pick-up location as a group. If a trip is an overnight trip, drivers may be asked to share a hotel with a fellow driver of the same sex, and we will pay for the lodging as well as transportation back to High Point, NC.
Drivers may receive same day pay if all documents and paperwork are accurate and turned in on time with no accident or damages done to the vehicles being transported. Job Requirements:
Drivers must have at least 1 full year of verifiable OTR CMV driving experience within the last 3 years. Drivers must have a valid Class A or Class B with a P endorsement. Drivers must have relatively clean reports and employment history. Must have knowledge of DOT HOS rules and regulations and keep daily DOT Driver Logs using the MOTIVE app. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAPER LOGS! Drivers must have great communication skills and time management. Drivers must act in a professional and courteous manner at all times. Must complete and turn in all documents/paperwork on time. Must be able to work in a group setting with other drivers and share the workload and responsibilities for each trip. This is an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR POSITION, NOT a Company or Owner/Operator position. This is an OTR driving position, not a LOCAL or REGIONAL driving position.
Driver is also required to have the following items when taking trips for us: A walkie talkie (may be purchased from our TeamQRT office for $15) Cell Phone, Screwdrivers (Flathead & Philips), Adjustable Crescent Wrench, 1/2 inch Wrench, and Blue Painters Tape. Wage Range: 0.32 - 0.40 per mile
General Description of Benefits: Drivers We are non-force dispatch. Drivers can choose when they want to work for us. Drivers are paid per mile. Transport from our pickup location in High Point, NC to drop off location anywhere in the US and Canada is provided along with transportation back to High Point, NC.
Lodging and fuel costs are provided when you are active on a load. Drivers who transport to Canada earn an extra .20/mile, and $125 bonus payout at the end of the trip.
