- Average patient volume of approximately 19 patients/billable encounters per physician
- No ICU or CCU primary coverage; hospital medicine does not manage ICU/CCU patients
- The ICU is a 42‑bed closed unit with a dedicated intensivist team
- ICU team responds to all code blue events day and night
- Hospitalist physicians also respond to code blues when the patient is on the HM service
- Practice within a 515‑bed tertiary care facility
- Excellent specialty support across a wide range of services
