We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development to lead sales growth and market expansion for our concrete, stone, aggregates, and construction materials business. This role is responsible for generating new business, developing strategic customer relationships, identifying market opportunities, and increasing revenue and profitability.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong sales, networking, and leadership skills who understands the construction industry and can build lasting relationships with contractors, builders, developers, municipalities, and commercial customers.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and gross profit goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial, residential, industrial, and municipal markets.
- Generate new accounts through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, and job-site visits.
- Prepare and present proposals, bids, pricing, and contracts.
- Negotiate pricing and service agreements while maintaining target margins.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Develop relationships with general contractors, concrete contractors, landscapers, excavation companies, developers, architects, engineers, and municipalities.
- Research and identify upcoming construction projects and bid opportunities.
- Expand market share through strategic partnerships and customer acquisition.
- Develop new sales channels and market segments.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
- Conduct regular customer visits and job-site meetings.

- Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience.
- Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue growth targets.

- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout assigned territory.
- Experience in concrete, stone, aggregates, building materials, construction supplies, ready-mix, hardscapes, or related industries.
- Bachelor's degree in Business.
- Knowledge of construction practices, specifications, and project bidding processes.
