Position: Domestic Operations Agent
Location: Corporate Headquarters, Winnsboro, TX
Reports to: Director of Corporate Services
Employment Shift: Full Time, non- exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act
Travel: Travel not required
Responsibilities, not limited to:
- Prioritize, schedule and route shipments for transportation via air and ground network.
- Interact with customers and agents to rate and quote shipments via air, FTL, LTL, hot shot and line-haul.
- Maintain and grow relationships on Team’s behalf with both existing and new customers and carriers.
- Proactively reach out to carriers to source, price, negotiate and track shipments daily.
- Source and secure capacity for time sensitive freight by leveraging multiple sourcing platforms.
- Work alongside team members to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Branch Office and agent communications.
- Local cartage and dispatch.
- Participate in the required on-call duty rotation.
- Any other tasks that are appropriate to the position or may be assigned by supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications, not limited to:
- Minimum of 2 years of Freight Forwarding experience required
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Continual desire to learn and expand domestic knowledge
- High level of resourcefulness and initiative
