Martial Arts Instructor

Position Overview

The Jiu Jitsu Program Director will be responsible for leading, growing, and delivering a world-class Jiu Jitsu program. This role combines high-level instruction, team leadership, and an exceptional commitment to student experience.

This is not a clock-in, clock-out coaching job. This is a leadership role for someone who takes ownership, builds relationships, and sets the standard.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Program Development

• Lead and teach Jiu Jitsu classes for all ages and skill levels
• Develop structured curriculum and progression systems
• Prepare students for competition (optional but preferred)
• Maintain high energy, organized, and engaging classes

Leadership & Culture

• Set the tone for professionalism, discipline, and respect
• Lead by example on and off the mats
• Mentor assistant instructors and help develop future leaders
• Uphold academy standards aligned with service, accountability, and excellence

Student Experience (Unreasonable Hospitality Mindset)

• Build strong relationships with students and families
• Create memorable, personalized experiences that go beyond expectations
• Maintain consistent communication with members
• Ensure every student feels seen, valued, and challenged

Program Growth & Retention

• Drive student retention through engagement and connection
• Assist with onboarding new students
• Support events, promotions, and community outreach
• Qualifications

Attributes

• Prior Jiu Jitsu teaching experience (required)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to connect with both kids and adults
• Organized, reliable, and self-motivated

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
