HR Generalist

TEAM TOGO LLC
Lexington, KY Full Time
POSTED ON 7/7/2026

The People Behind the Care

PetVet365 was built on a simple belief: veterinary medicine works best when veterinarians lead and own it. We are a vet-led ownership network designed for disciplined growth. Our doctors build sustainable hospitals in their communities, delivering high-quality, relationship-centered care to pets and the families who love them — supported by financial expertise, operational clarity, and scalable systems.

That’s where our support team comes in. The work done in finance, HR, marketing, technology, and operations directly strengthens our hospitals and enables our veterinarian partners to grow responsibly and profitably while remaining focused on exceptional patient care.

Today, we’re proving that strong business fundamentals and compassionate, high-quality veterinary care reinforce one another. If you’re energized by helping build purpose-driven growth, we invite you to explore how your talents can contribute to our entrepreneurial, vet-led organization and the care delivered in every hospital we support.

The Position

We’re looking for an HR Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. You’ll be a key partner to the HR Director and a go-to resource for our hospital teams as we scale, supporting HR processes and systems, owning compliance requirements across our network, and supporting our people with onboarding.

We open multiple new hospitals every year, and our HR team is growing along with the business. We’re a small, lean team that collaborates closely and works best when everyone brings their whole self to the table. This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys wearing many HR hats — who gets energized by building efficient processes, raising the bar on HR practices, and finding smarter ways to get things done. If you thrive in a high-growth environment where no two days look the same, and your contributions are visible and valued, you’ll feel right at home here.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the hospital managers with the full onboarding process for all new team members, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience from offer to day one
  • Own the end-to-end onboarding workflow for new veterinarians, including new hire paperwork, credentialing documentation, DEA and state license verification, and veterinary school record tracking
  • Track and maintain active license records for all clinical staff, flagging renewals and expirations proactively
  • Manage applicant tracking and background check processes for required positions in coordination with hiring managers and the recruiting team

Payroll Support & Backup

  • Serve as a knowledgeable backup to the payroll manager, processing or auditing payroll as needed

Compliance

  • Own multi-state employment law compliance across all hospital locations, monitoring regulatory changes, and proactively updating practices and educating managers
  • Manage EEO-1 reporting, OSHA recordkeeping, and labor law posting requirements
  • Track and audit I-9 and E-Verify compliance for all new hires
  • Coordinate and track completion of annual compliance training across the organization

  • Coach managers on employee relations matters, corrective action, and documentation best practices
  • Conduct exit interviews and summarize findings to identify trends and share insights with the HR Director and leadership
  • Process employment verifications and unemployment claims

HR Projects & Business Support

  • Drive HR projects that support our hospital owners
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Recruiting, and hospital leadership to align HR with business needs
  • Support the development and rollout of programs, training, and initiatives that strengthen the team member experience
  • Monitor the HR inbox and triage as needed

  • Strong communicator who builds trust quickly with team members at all levels — from front desk staff to senior leadership
