Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) for Laconia case to provide essential in-home nursing support to our patients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various healthcare settings, including long-term care, hospital, or assisted living environments. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by delivering personalized patient care with professionalism and compassion.
Duties
- Assist with daily patient care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, ensuring timely communication of changes to supervising nurses or physicians.
- Support medication administration under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians, adhering strictly to medication protocols.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Follow aseptic techniques and infection control procedures to ensure patient safety and prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory care needs, tailoring approaches to individual requirements.
- Assist with catheter care, wound management, and other complex medical tasks as trained and authorized.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Nursing Assistant (LNA) or equivalent certification.
- Prior experience working in critical care settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in long-term care facilities including nursing homes and assisted living communities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation purposes.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and those requiring behavioral health support.
