What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Assistant/House Manager position at Team Schulte & Co, Neighborhood Experts?
About the Role
A high-performing entrepreneur and business owner is seeking a highly organized, proactive Personal Assistant and House Manager to take full ownership of household operations and personal logistics. This is a private household role — it does not intersect with any business, office staff, or professional operations.
You will be the person who makes the household run before anyone notices it needs to. You anticipate, you execute, and you disappear into the background when the job is done.
This position requires signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to employment.
What You'll Own
Household Operations
- Manage and oversee all home maintenance — scheduling and supervising contractors, cleaners, repair vendors, and service providers
- Maintain a proactive home maintenance calendar (seasonal prep, HVAC, pest control, appliances, etc.)
- Manage household inventory, supplies, and subscriptions
- Coordinate any recurring household staff
Personal Scheduling & Logistics
- Manage personal calendar — appointments, commitments, RSVPs
- Book personal travel: flights, accommodations, dining reservations, and experiences
- Coordinate family schedules, school events, and personal appointments (medical, dental, personal care)
- Run errands or coordinate trusted third parties to do so
Lifestyle & Family Support
- Source and manage home improvement, renovation, or interior projects as needed
- Manage pet care logistics — vet appointments, boarding, day-to-day needs
- Research and book personal experiences, activities, and travel
- Handle gift sourcing and sending for personal occasions
What This Role Is NOT
To be direct: this role has no involvement in any business operations, real estate activity, office management, or financial tasks. The boundary is firm and intentional.
You Are the Right Fit If You:
- Have prior experience as a personal assistant, estate manager, or household manager (2 years preferred)
- Are exceptionally discreet — you understand that confidentiality isn't a policy, it's a standard
- Operate proactively, not reactively — you see what needs to happen before being asked
- Are highly organized with strong systems for task and calendar management
- Are comfortable managing contractors and vendors with authority and follow-through
- Hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation
- Communicate clearly and concisely — no over-explaining, no drama
- Are comfortable with a fast-paced principal who values efficiency over hand-holding
A Note on Culture Fit
This person will operate inside a personal environment that requires trust above all else. The ideal candidate is someone who takes quiet pride in making things run smoothly, has no need for recognition, and treats discretion as second nature. If you've worked for high-profile individuals or busy executives and thrived in that environment, this role is built for you.
To Apply: Submit your resume and a brief note (3–5 sentences max) describing a time you managed a complex logistical situation independently and how you handled it. Applications without this note will not be reviewed.
