Responsibilities
- Assist in managing lease or rental agreement processes, including renewals, move-ins, and move-outs, ensuring compliance with all legal and company standards
- Support property marketing efforts through upselling available units and engaging prospective tenants via phone and in-person interactions
- Coordinate property maintenance requests and facilities management activities to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents
- Utilize property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite to enter data accurately, generate reports, and track occupancy metrics
- Handle client communication with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to resolve inquiries promptly
- Support budgeting activities by monitoring expenses, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records
- Assist with compliance related to Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8 housing programs, and other legal requirements
- Collaborate with team members on conflict management issues and contribute to a positive team environment focused on customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles; experience with property management companies is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, LIHTC compliance, and contracts management
- Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar tools; familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with experience in data entry, filing, and office administration tasks using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Demonstrated ability in conflict management, negotiation, upselling techniques, and client relationship management
- Effective communication skills with a professional phone manner and the ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Team management experience is advantageous; a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service excellence is essential
