Requirements:
- State License as a Registered Dental Hygienist
- Up-to-date with OSHA & Infection Control within the past year
- Active CPR/BLS
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
- Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
- Outstanding communication skills
- A patient and friendly personality
- Attention to detail
- Strong computer skills
- Prepare and administer treatment plans
- Screening for oral cancer, and assessing levels of periodontal disease
- Educate patients about good oral hygiene including plaque control and postoperative instructions
- Document services by recording dental histories and recording visits in patient’s chart
