Overview
The White River Junction Veterans Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care to our veteran patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general dentistry, with experience in both clinical procedures and patient management. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments using advanced diagnostic tools and medical imaging techniques.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including preventive care, restorative procedures, and oral surgery as needed.
- Conduct dental procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontic treatments with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Utilize dental fabrication skills for crowns, bridges, and other prosthetic devices.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-procedure care to promote overall wellness.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care, including pediatrics when necessary.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and procedures by participating in ongoing professional development.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare setting with a focus on general dentistry.
- Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and medical records management.
- Hands-on experience performing pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics (including root canal therapy), prosthodontics, and other specialized procedures.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and medical imaging techniques relevant to dental practice.
- Familiarity with dental fabrication processes and four-handed dentistry techniques is preferred.
- Prior experience working within a VA or federal healthcare environment is advantageous but not required. Pay: $140.00 - $144.00 per hour
