We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Collections & Retention Specialist to join our growing pest control team. This role is ideal for someone who can confidently manage accounts receivable while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer care. You'll play a key role in reducing past-due accounts, improving customer retention, and supporting overall branch success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and collect on past-due customer accounts in a timely and professional manner
- Make outbound and receive inbound calls regarding billing, payments, and account status
- Work with customers to resolve payment issues, establish payment arrangements, and upsell services
- Identify opportunities to retain customers by addressing concerns and offering solutions
- Process payments and update customer account information accurately in the system
- Collaborate with branch staff to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Maintain detailed records of collection efforts and customer interactions
- Escalate complex issues as needed while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Support overall accounts receivable goals and company initiatives
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in collections, customer retention, or customer service
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Pest control or service industry experience is a plus
