Position Purpose:

As a CDL A Delivery Driver, you’re the face of Team Modern on the road – responsible for delivering product safely, accurately, and with a customer-first mindset. This regional role, based in middle Tennessee, offers the rare perk of being home every night – making it ideal for drivers who want the benefits of CDL A work without the long-haul lifestyle. • Flat Daily Pay Structure – Drivers earn a guaranteed daily rate based on experience, providing dependable income every week without the guesswork of commission or mileage pay. 
• Guaranteed Pay Stability – Whether routes vary in length or volume, your flat daily rate ensures consistent weekly income.

Schedule:  

4- or 5-Day Rotational Workweek – Drivers typically work a flexible rotation, with options for a four-day or five-day schedule, allowing for excellent work-life balance while maintaining strong weekly earnings.

Essential Functions

• Safely and efficiently deliver products to customers, following designated routes and schedules.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, ensuring all orders are delivered in their entirety.
• Adhere to all state and local traffic laws as well as Team Modern's safety guidelines.
• Complete check-in procedures accurately to ensure proper handling of customer products.
• Document and submit all paperwork and payments on a daily basis.
• Utilize a tractor trailer and/or tractor and pup trailer, two-wheel dolly, and/or manual pallet jack for product transportation.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck, documenting any issues electronically.
• Utilize technology such as ELD (Electronic Logging Device) and dash cameras to comply with DOT regulations and monitor driving behavior.
• Work in varying traffic and weather conditions, ensuring safe and timely deliveries.
• Wear designated uniforms every working day, which consist of company-provided polos and hat, and self-purchased black pants or shorts.
• Any additional task assigned by manager; duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to excel at the essential functions assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. 

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old (DOT) and have a valid Commercial Driver's License Class A.
• Proven work history with CDL A driving and delivery experience.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accurate product unloading and check-in procedures.
• Familiarity with using navigation systems/apps while driving.
• Strong adherence to safety guidelines, including the prohibition of handheld devices while operating a company vehicle.
• Ability to work long hours (10-12 hours per day) with the potential for longer days initially based on performance.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Dependable and punctual, arriving on time for work and ready to depart for assigned routes.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Must pass a drug screening, background check, and pre-employment workplace physical examination.

Additional Information

Physical Demands: The employee must be able to lift 75lbs on a repetitive basis with the aid of a two-wheel hand truck (dolly) and have the ability to reach, bend, stoop, walk up and down a ramp, and climb a step ladder on a frequent basis.

Working Conditions: Daily travel throughout assigned territory starting from satellite location in Columbia, Tennessee.
