Midwest Paint LLC is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced Painter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about producing high-quality work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and is committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience on every project.
As a Painter with Midwest Paint, you will be responsible for completing residential and commercial painting projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality, professionalism, safety, and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, filling, caulking, and priming as needed.
- Apply paint, stains, primers, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and airless spray equipment.
- Perform drywall repairs, texture repairs, and minor carpentry when required.
- Mask and protect floors, furniture, fixtures, windows, landscaping, and surrounding surfaces before beginning work.
- Produce clean cut lines, smooth finishes, and consistent paint coverage that meet Midwest Paint quality standards.
- Inspect completed work and perform touch-ups as needed before project completion.
- Read and follow work orders, project specifications, and manufacturer application guidelines.
- Safely operate ladders, scaffolding, lifts, sprayers, and other painting equipment.
- Clean, maintain, and properly store company tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout each project.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, business owners, subcontractors, and fellow team members.
- Assist with project setup, cleanup, material handling, and other duties as assigned.
- Follow all company policies, OSHA safety regulations, and proper PPE requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous residential and/or commercial painting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of proper surface preparation and coating application techniques.
- Experience with brush, roller, and airless spray application.
- Ability to perform drywall repairs and basic carpentry is preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work orders and project specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and work from ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Dependable, punctual, and motivated with a positive work ethic.
Preferred Skills
Experience with any of the following is considered a plus:
- Cabinet refinishing
- Exterior repainting
- Deck and fence staining
- Drywall finishing and texture repair
- Pressure washing
- Epoxy floor coatings
- Minor wood repairs and trim carpentry
- Commercial painting projects
Work Environment
This position requires working indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Employees should be comfortable standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, lifting materials, and performing physically demanding work while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $36.00 per hour
