Team Metric has been active in the Bay Area real estate landscape since 2017, working closely with both homeowners and investors to bring high-quality residential projects to life. Our focus on thoughtful design and dependable execution has helped us grow steadily, and we are now looking for a new team member to support our expanding operations.
We are offering an internship position that may evolve into a full-time role based on performance. We are searching for someone who is detail-driven, eager to learn, and genuinely interested in the real estate development process. Applicants who recently completed their studies (OPT applicants welcome) and those with backgrounds in construction, engineering, architecture, or project management are encouraged to apply. Candidates must be within commuting distance and willing to collaborate closely with our internal team.
What We’re Looking For
- Academic background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or related fields. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
- Ability to review and interpret drawings, including architectural, civil, and landscape plans.
- Prior exposure to construction or development work is helpful.
- Fluency in both Mandarin and English is required.
- Understanding of project coordination concepts, scheduling, workflows, and construction terminology.
- Strong organizational habits: able to prioritize, manage time, and handle multiple activities at once.
- Effective communication skills and comfort working with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-moving environment.
- Basic to intermediate computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office tools.
- Knowledge of housing construction, permitting processes, local ordinances, and zoning guidelines is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and organization of development projects from early concept stages through completion.
- Monitor progress at construction sites and assist in managing day-to-day field activities.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, inspectors, contractors, and other contributors to help maintain project momentum.
- Prepare, update, and track project-related documents such as schedules, budgets, and progress summaries.
- Review timelines and recommend adjustments to help keep work on track and resources utilized effectively.
- Identify potential obstacles or delays and help propose practical solutions.
- Handle permitting tasks, including submitting applications and gathering required approvals.
- Conduct research on market conditions, comparable properties, and applicable regulations to support project decisions.
- Assist with administrative duties such as organizing meetings, generating reports, and handling internal communication.
- Work with other departments to ensure development activities are aligned across the company.
- Take on additional administrative or project-related tasks when necessary.
