Automotive Service Advisor / Writer

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while managing their automotive needs. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive repair processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to upsell services effectively.

Duties

• Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
• Provide detailed explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance services.
• Write service orders and maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
• Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently.
• Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
• Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services.
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized service area.

Skills

• Proficiency in automotive repair knowledge, including oil changes, diesel engine repair, and auto body repair.
• Experience in service writing and cash handling is highly desirable.
• Strong upselling skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Familiarity with dealership operations is a plus.
• Ability to align customer needs with available services effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
