Agency Business Consultant & Training Lead

Farmers Insurance District 30 — Team Iowa is seeking an Agency Business Consultant & Training Lead to support a growing district of 30 agencies and an active pipeline of new agency operators.

This position is responsible for turning new recruits into confident, self-sufficient agency owners and staff members. You will lead our new-agent training program, manage the onboarding process, and serve as a key operational resource for agencies throughout the district.

The ideal candidate combines insurance experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to teach and develop others. Success in this role means creating agents and staff who know how to use Farmers systems, find answers, solve problems, and operate independently.

Salary Range: $50,000.00 per year

Annual Base Salary Bonus Opportunities

2 years of insurance experience, with agency operations, insurance carrier, or district office experience strongly preferred.

Experience training, coaching, or onboarding employees, agents, or other professionals.

Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly teach systems, processes, and procedures.

Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at the same time.

Comfortable working with CRM systems and reporting tools.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to determine when an issue should be resolved independently or escalated.

Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses, or willingness to obtain both within 90 days. Coursework will be provided.

Ability to work full-time, in office in Clive, Iowa.

Lead our recurring 8-day new-agent bootcamp for agents, associate agents, and agency staff.

Train participants on Farmers systems, tools, resources, and day-to-day agency operations.

Teach agents and staff how to locate information and independently resolve common questions and issues.

Manage onboarding from the point a candidate is ready for training through licensing verification, system setup, and placement into their role.

Order and manage candidate background checks and guide agency owners through the background-check process for their staff hires.

Serve as a resource for agents on licensing, billing, system issues, and compliance-related questions.

Identify issues requiring additional support and escalate them appropriately.

Maintain current district resources, including program updates, compensation breakdowns, and agent-facing communications.

Support district contests and promotions through tracking, reporting, and team updates.

Manage a recurring training calendar while keeping multiple onboarding and operational priorities moving simultaneously.
