What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Lead -Nights position at TEAM INDUSTRIES?
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Purpose: Assists Production Supervisor in the oversite of day-to-day operations such as planning, problem solving, training and troubleshooting. Sets up machines and runs equipment as required.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

· Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
· Trains and assists operators and production personnel on daily tasks.
· Supervises department in absence of Supervisor.
· Participates and/or gives feedback to Supervisor on employee performance evaluations.
· Develops, coaches, and mentors other production personnel to improve floor communication and productivity.
· Sets up and operates equipment to produce quality parts per engineering specifications.
· Identify and resolve machine and process-related issues, analyze scrap trends, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve quality and efficiency.Works closely with all departments to prevent operational delays.
· Assures compliance to safety and shop cleanliness in the workplace.
· Demonstrate commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and Objectives.
· Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
· Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- Equivalent combination of 2 years of production floor experience and/or 1 year experience in machine setup
- Previous supervisory experience helpful but not required
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate with a variety of people both verbally and in writing
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic Math skills, must have a working knowledge of decimals
- Ability to read measuring instruments
- Ability to read and follow work instructions
- Must be detail oriented, with the ability to recognize defects and non-conformities
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Regular attendance
Training:
- Reference OJT
Physical Demands
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move up to 33 lbs., rarely lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand up to 100% of shift
- Ability to do repetitive movements (i.e. bending, twisting, walking)
- Able to continuously operate at a minimum of 3 hours
