Supervisory Responsibilities: Must display high level of leadership skills while working with highly diverse groups of people within the organization.  Responsible for oversight and mentoring of EHS personnel.

Purpose: Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of TEAM’s EHS strategy to promote a safe, compliant, and injury-free workplace across all locations.  Promotes EHS awareness and positive attitudes toward EHS measures by working to eliminate hazards, strengthen safe work practices, and support a proactive safety culture.  Designs EHS awareness programs, conducts or coordinates EHS training, and coordinates EHS reporting, policies, and program priorities with all plant locations.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

·         Ensure a safe work environment for self and others.  Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program

·         Creates and/or maintains and implements EHS policies in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, and DOT

·         Develops, implements, and continuously improves company-wide EHS goals, metrics, action plans, KPI’s, and program priorities in alignment with business needs and regulatory expectations

·         Tracks and communicates EHS performance indicators such as injury trends, near misses, corrective actions, audit findings, training completion, OSHA recordkeeping, and regulatory compliance status

·         Tracks corrective and preventive actions to closure, utilizing current on-line EHS platform:  assigning accountability, verifying effectiveness, and escalating unresolved risks as appropriate

·         Provides leadership, direction, mentoring, and performance support for EHS personnel, including coaching team members, aligning priorities, supporting professional development, and ensuring consistent execution of EHS responsibilities across locations

·         Coordinates/maintains with all plant locations to conduct Corporate EHS audits and to create a solid work instruction and calendar of reporting requirements by location

·         Responsible for environmental compliance and government reporting, may include but not limited to participation in hazardous waste, air permitting, stormwater, wastewater, chemical management, spill prevention, SDS management, environmental recordkeeping, and required reporting, such as TIER II, Form R, AEI, etc.

·         May coordinate with third parties to ensure environmental policies, audits, and reporting are complete and maintained

·         Provides assistance as needed/requested within the EHS discipline in all TEAM locations

·         Responsible to oversee training for TEAM Members in EHS both during orientation and on an ongoing basis as necessary or required by law; conduct or plan for OSHA required and other EHS related training according to AWAIR Plan

·         Coordinates with Human Resources to aid the Workers Compensation Program and ensure reduction of workplace injuries

·         Keeps abreast of current regulations, standards, codes, EHS products, methods and practices related to EHS and the industry

·         Keep current on EHS practices as they relate to the manufacturing industry, including automation and robotics; and ensure that actions are in compliance with applicable laws

·         Responsible for the coordination of accident and incident investigation and reporting in a timely manner

·         Responsible for establishing EHS awareness throughout the organization

·         Responsible for ensuring active EHS committees throughout the organization

·         Performs EHS surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures where needed and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented

·         Leads Job Hazard Analysis for new and changing processes, which may include advising and working in conjunction with the lean, manufacturing and management groups (i.e. ergonomics, etc.)

·         Support emergency preparedness programs, including evacuation procedures, emergency drills, spill response, severe weather response, first aid coordination, and emergency communication expectations

·         Maintain a visible presence on shop floor(s), actively engage TEAM Members and supervisors, and supports practical hazard identification and safe work practices across all locations

·         May be responsible, in conjunction with location EHS Coordinators, for representing the company during regulatory inspections, agency inquiries, third-party audits, and follow-up activities related to EHS compliance

·         Establish and support safety expectations for contractors, vendors, and visitors, including orientation, worksite requirements, and adherence to company safety procedures

·         Maintain involvement in new equipment reviews, process changes, facility modifications, automation, robotics, and capital projects to ensure EHS risks are evaluated and addressed before implementation

·         Demonstrate leadership commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and coach subordinates on their impact on TEAM QMS objectives.

·         Promote a positive atmosphere.  Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM Members

·         Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
