Building/Grounds Maintenance

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Purpose: Responsible for cleaning of specific areas of the plant and performing building and grounds maintenance activities

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure a clean and safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
• Perform building and grounds repairs and upkeep as needed
• Clean and maintain general shop area
• Perform light carpentry and plumbing duties as needed
• Empty garbage and pick-up cardboard on production floor as needed
• Collect empty pallets, boxes and parts trays and relocate to designated areas where applicable
• Assist with unloading and moving production equipment as needed
• Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous building/grounds experience preferred

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Valid and current MN driver’s license
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures
• Must be able to operate, walk-behind and riding, floor scrubbers and barnishers
• Must be able to operate scissor lifts and forklifts
• Must be able to perform duties without direct supervision
• Basic knowledge of, or ability to learn, light carpentry and plumbing
• Regular attendance

Training:

• Forklift, scissor lift, lawn equipment, snow removal equipment
• Reference OJT

Physical Demands

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs., rarely lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to stand for 100% of shift
• Ability to do repetitive motions, i.e. bending, twisting, walking, crouching
• Ability to work at elevated heights
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to continuously operate a minimum of 3 hours
