Summary

We’re looking for a dynamic and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-impact HR services across the organization. In this role, you’ll be a trusted partner supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR function while helping to drive initiatives around employee experience, data-driven decision-making, and compliance. You’ll collaborate closely with the Executive Director of Human Resources, HR Manager, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and people-first HR processes.

Essential Position Functions

HR Operations & Systems

  • Serve as the primary HR operations contact, managing employee lifecycle events including new hires, internal moves, and offboarding
  • Administer and maintain our HRIS (Paycom) with a focus on data integrity and automation opportunities
  • Support end-to-end payroll administration
  • Handle employment verifications and maintain accurate personnel records
  • Track performance review cycles and support employee development programs
  • Oversee workers' compensation reporting and case follow-up

Benefits & Leave Administration

  • Lead benefits administration including enrollment, audits, changes, and vendor coordination
  • Own the open enrollment process and provide clear, engaging communications to employees
  • Manage Workers Compensation in partnership with the ESH Manager

Employee Experience & Relations

  • Act as a resource for employees, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture
  • Contribute to engagement efforts and feedback initiatives

Compliance, Reporting & Policy Management

  • Maintain and update HR policies and documentation in accordance with legal and organizational changes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (including ACA and overtime regulations)
  • Support HR reporting, including workforce analytics and compliance metrics
  • Support unemployment claims, and unemployment insurance in partnership with HR Manager

Onboarding & Culture Integration

  • Lead the administrative aspects of onboarding, ensuring a welcoming and seamless first-day experience
  • Coordinate orientation sessions and support culture-building initiatives

Minimum Position Requirements

  • Education: high school diploma or GED; bachelors degree preferred in business administration, human resources, organizational management.
  • Experience: 5 years of human resources generalist experience.
  • Familiarity with Paycom is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
