About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as an Junior Fleet Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in starting a career in fleet maintenance and management. The successful candidate will assist in keeping our fleet of vehicles and rolling assets road-ready, detailed, and in top condition. Training and mentorship will be provided to support your growth in this role.
Job Duties
Basic Maintenance Support
- Check and top off fluids (oil, coolant, washer fluid, etc.)
- Replace wiper blades, light bulbs, and filters
- Monitor and record tire condition and pressure
- Assist with preventive maintenance tasks
Vehicle Inspections
- Perform visual checks before and after use to ensure safety and readiness
- Report any damages, unusual sounds, or safety concerns
- Help document vehicle service records
Cleaning & Detailing
- Wash, vacuum, and detail vehicles regularly
- Keep interiors clean and presentable for use
- Ensure decals, markings, and equipment are in good condition
Laydown Yard/Storage Organization
- Organize tools, equipment, and supplies
- Assist with moving vehicles around the yard or shop
- Help track mileage, service schedules, and inspection logs
Learning & Growth
- Shadow experienced Fleet Manager to build mechanical skills
- Follow safety procedures when working around vehicles and equipment
- Gain hands-on experience that can lead to higher-level technician roles
- Provide support to the Fleet Manager and Asset Manager as needed
Minimum Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
- Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping vehicles clean and operational.
- Willingness to learn basic mechanical and detailing skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and eager to contribute to a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work both indoors and outdoors in various conditions.
Preferred Skills (not required, training provided):
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance or detailing.
- Familiarity with tools and shop equipment.
