About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Fleet Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent high school graduate interested in starting a career in fleet maintenance and management. The successful candidate will assist in keeping our fleet of vehicles and rolling assets road-ready, detailed, and in top condition. Training and mentorship will be provided to support your growth in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Basic Maintenance Support
- Check and top off fluids (oil, coolant, washer fluid, etc.).
- Replace wiper blades, light bulbs, and filters.
- Monitor and record tire condition and pressure.
- Assist with preventive maintenance tasks.
Vehicle Inspections
- Perform visual checks before and after use to ensure safety and readiness.
- Report any damages, unusual sounds, or safety concerns.
- Help document vehicle service records.
Cleaning and Detailing
- Wash, vacuum, and detail vehicles regularly.
- Keep interiors clean and presentable for use.
- Ensure decals, markings, and equipment are in good condition.
Laydown Yard/Storage Organization
- Organize tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist with moving vehicles around the yard or shop.
- Help track mileage, service schedules, and inspection logs.
Learning and Growth
- Shadow experienced Fleet Manager to build mechanical skills.
- Follow safety procedures when working around vehicles and equipment.
- Gain hands-on experience that can lead to higher-level technician roles.
- Provide support to the Fleet Manager and Asset Manager as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
- Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping vehicles clean and operational.
- Willingness to learn basic mechanical and detailing skills
- Dependable, punctual and eager to contribute to a team environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work both indoors and outdoors in various conditions.
- Basic knowledge of vehicles maintenance or detailing is preferred.
- Familiarity with tools and shop equipment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of automotive electrical systems and wiring is preferred.
