About the Role
The Facilities Technician is responsible for installation, construction, repair and upkeep of company facilities. This role’s expertise in facility systems, hands-on maintenance skills, and commitment to safety will contribute to the smooth operations of the basecamp.
Key Responsibilities
- Check and maintain the functionality of electrical and hydraulic systems in buildings.
- Perform repairs and installations, including both preventative maintenance and larger repairs as needed.
- Monitor and track equipment inventory, ensuring availability for maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with contractors and service providers, managing relationships to ensure effective repairs and installations.
- Keep accurate maintenance logs and safety policies and regulations.
- Support scheduled safety and quality inspection.
- Perform refueling of generators and maintenance of water systems.
- Fulfill all assigned duties in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; a minimum of five years of experience in facilities maintenance and construction; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Continued employment is subject to maintaining all required licenses and certifications in active status without suspension or revocation.
- Proficiency in facility systems such as HVAC, refrigeration, and electricity.
- Experience using a variety of power tools, hand tools, plumbing equipment, and ground maintenance tools.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and ordinances related to public works infrastructure.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingualism is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively, establish relationships, and contribute to team goals.
- Skilled in maneuvering, towing, and transporting equipment.
