Position Summary
The Facilities Coordinator supports the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and appearance of the AquaCal facility by coordinating building repairs, vendor services, preventive maintenance, and facility-related administrative activities. This role serves as the primary point of coordination for work orders, contractor scheduling, purchasing, and maintenance records while also assisting with general facility upkeep, safety initiatives, and special projects. The Facilities Coordinator helps ensure the facility remains safe, clean, organized, and operating efficiently to support employees and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Facility Maintenance & Repairs – Schedule and oversee contractors for HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, fire/security systems, and other building services.
- Manage Work Orders & Purchasing – Coordinate facility work orders through the CMMS, obtain quotes, create purchase orders, order supplies and repair parts, and maintain purchasing records.
- Support Facility Operations – Assist with janitorial needs, cardboard recycling, stocking breakrooms and restrooms, and maintaining a clean, organized facility.
- Safety & Compliance – Track and coordinate completion of Safety Audit action items and support facility safety initiatives.
- Special Projects & Events – Assist with facility setup and preparation for company events and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 years of facilities, maintenance, or building maintenance experience
- Positive, enthusiastic, and flexible attitude
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to calculate figures, cost, taxes, discount percentages, etc.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
