Position: Transmission Service Technician
Job Details
- Salary: Credential based pay plan up to $55 per flag rate hour
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Location: Orange, TX
Work Hours
This is a full-time, in-person position with standard dealership hours. Specific scheduling details will be provided during the hiring process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair work on vehicle transmissions efficiently and according to dealership and factory standards.
- Disassemble, diagnose, clean, inspect, and repair transmission components.
- Provide accurate labor and time estimates for additional repairs.
- Communicate mechanical diagnoses and necessary repairs clearly to service advisors and customers.
- Stay updated on new technical information and repair techniques through formal training.
- Inspect and test new vehicles, documenting findings to ensure necessary repairs are addressed.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- Experience as an automotive transmission technician required.
- Factory certification is preferred.
- Skilled in performing warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicle makes and models.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
- Positive attitude with high energy and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions accurately.
- Sound judgement and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid state driver's license with a good driving record.
