What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodial Services Worker (Part time) - Loftiss RYDC - Thomasville GA (NSC) position at Team Georgia Careers?
Under direct supervision, performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation, and cleanliness in facilities. Maintains supplies as needed. This position is par-time and requires less than 30 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits.
NOTE: This is a 29 hour per week position.
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Maintains supplies as needed. Cleans and straightens assigned areas.
- Performs floor care and maintenance.
- Collects, sorts, launders, transports, and distributes linens and uniforms.
- May mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair.
- Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse.
- Operates hand tools.
- Participates in making, marking, altering and mending of clothing, linens, and other items.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of training and experience that would have enabled the applicant to have acquired the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess the following:
- Experience with buffing and waxing floors.
