Admissions Specialist
JOB SUMMARY
The Admissions Specialist is responsible for performing administrative duties in the admissions area at a technical college.
MAJOR DUTIES
· Greets visitors and/or students and determines the nature of their business and provides appropriate information or refers to appropriate personnel;
· Assists prospective students with the admission and readmission process to include program offerings, admissions & placement exam requirements;
· Provides information by telephone, written correspondence and in person to interested parties regarding applicant procedures and admissions requirements;
· Receives, verifies and accurately inputs student enrollment applications, admissions placement scores, residency and lawful presence verification information into the Target X and BANNER student information system;
· Processes, completes and maintains necessary documentation, transactions, records, etc. pertaining to registration and codes into college database and ensures records are updated;
· Assists with scheduling admissions placement exams, as well as, discusses and records admissions score information into the BANNER student information system database;
· Assists with scanning and indexing all admissions and testing related documents into imaging system;
· Audits records to ensure necessary documentation is in the record and contacts students of any missing data;
· Keeps informed of admissions regulations, policies and procedures via Student Affairs/Admissions Director;
· Maintains inventory of admissions materials;
· Assists with various registration activities;
· Provides administrative assistance and coverage, when needed;
· Participates in assessment, planning, budgeting, and staff development;
· Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent *and* Six (6) months of related work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
In addition to the minimum qualifications:
· Knowledge and experience in the use of BANNER Student Information System and CRM platforms
