The Academic Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing the institution’s academic course schedule. This role ensures that all classes are scheduled efficiently, faculty assignments are accurate, and classroom resources are optimized to support student success and institutional goals.
MAJOR DUTIES:
· Create and maintain semester and annual academic schedules.
· Serves as the primary administrator for the Ad Astra scheduling system.
· Works with department chairs and program directors to confirm course offerings, faculty assignments, and instructional modalities.
· Assign classrooms and instructional spaces based on course requirements and enrollment projections.
· Monitor room utilization and optimize scheduling to maximize efficiency.
· Maintain accurate scheduling data and generate reports for enrollment trends, classroom usage, and faculty workload.
· Assist with reporting and other compliance-related data submissions.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling inquiries from faculty, staff, and students.
· Troubleshoot scheduling issues.
· Support the VPAA with special projects and space-use planning.
· Participate in campus meetings and working groups related to space utilization and events.
· Provide training/support to academic faculty and staff.
· Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Minimum- High School Graduate/Equivalent with one year of experience in postsecondary education
Preferred- Technical college graduate and three years of relevant experience in postsecondary education.
