Role Summary
Team Elite Basketball (Menlo Park) is hiring Head Coaches to lead youth teams (Grades 2–12) in a high-standard player development and travel program. We're an Adidas-sponsored program with competitive pathways including Jr. 3SSB, High School Gold Circuit, and the 3SSB Circuit. We want coaches who can teach, lead, and build culture—and who are excited to grow with Team Elite long-term.
Responsibilities
- Lead practices with structure and pace (skills, concepts, small-sided, competitive reps)
- Coach games/tournaments and manage rotations, adjustments, and team standards
- Build a connected, accountable team culture aligned with Team Elite values
- Teach fundamentals decision-making appropriate to age and level
- Communicate clearly with parents and players (expectations, schedules, development)
- Support tryouts/player evaluations and provide direct, actionable feedback
- Coordinate with the Director of Operations on schedules, logistics, and rosters
- Represent Team Elite professionally at all events (punctuality, standards, conduct)
Qualifications
- Proven coaching experience (club/school/camps) and strong leadership presence
- High basketball IQ (player development team concepts)
- Reliable weekend availability for travel tournaments (season-dependent)
- Strong communicator with parents and staff; solutions-first mindset
- Ability to align with Team Elite's coaching standards and teaching approach
