The role of the Project Engineer will be to assist the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager. Below is a brief outline of responsibilities for this position. These tasks/responsibilities may vary from project to project and expand as part of employee growth. This role may require that an individual be involved in multiple projects and may need to take direction from multiple Project Managers. Communication with Project Manager(s) is critical to ensure tasks are prioritized and completed within required time frames. Requirements
Document Control:
- Set up of Procore projects including directory, sub-jobs, drawings, folder structure, etc.
- Compile, issue and track product data and sample submittals
- Create and track transmittals
- Discover, compile, submit and track RFI’s
- Maintain owner provided drawings/documents on Procore to ensure they are current for office and field staff
- Save and distribute schedules from GC to project TEAM
- Assist with Extra Work/CE Authorization tracking
- Assist Project Manager with material take-offs and stocking/staging reports (as applicable)
- Assist in wallcovering quantification
- Create material and equipment buyouts for vendors (as applicable)
- Compile, issue and track Purchase Orders. Assist field material deliveries, tracking and distribution.
- Assist accounting department with review and approval of Purchase Orders
- Create material tracking/procurement logs and assist with vendor coordination for specialty fabrication items (such as cast products)
- Assist with Field Coordination
- Create phasing / sequencing plans for field staff with assistance from Project Manager (as applicable)
- Create finish schedules for specified areas (as applicable)
- Participate in routine site walks with Project Manager or Project Superintendent
- Compile progress photos using Procore tools
- Update weekly budget progress
- Assist with extra work, T&M tracking, photos, etc.
- Support field staff needs
- Become familiar with TEAM and industry safety standards and participate in safety walks and reporting
- Assist with obtaining/reviewing and submitting COI’s
- Maintain internal meeting agendas and minutes
- Assist in generating change order back-up including summary recap, drawing overlays, take-offs and photo documentation
- Assist with overall organization for project team as required to make all members efficient.
- Participate on or facilitate job site safety audits
- Assist with project close-out; including but not limited to:
- Compile as-builts
- Attic Stock
- Warranty letters
- Operation and maintenance manuals
- Procore archive
