Jack in the Box Team Member

Position Summary

Jack in the Box Restaurant Team Member contributes to a positive guest experience by preparing and serving high-quality food, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean, organized environment. This position supports both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and friendly restaurant service.

Availability: Mornings, mid-shift, and nights (night shift must be able to stay till 1p)

Pay: $13.00 - 16.00/hr

Walk-in interviews: Monday-Friday, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
• Accurately process cash, credit, and electronic transactions using the POS system.
• Prepare and assemble menu items following company recipes, portion standards, and food safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including the kitchen, dining area, and checkout stations.
• Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Monitor product levels, restock supplies, and assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations and timely service.
• Support training of new staff as needed.
• Comply with all company policies regarding safety, hygiene, and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Prior experience in food service, customer service, or retail is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems and food safety standards.
• Open availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Work Environment

This position operates in a dynamic restaurant setting that includes both guest service and kitchen responsibilities. Team Members work on their feet for long periods, handle food and equipment, and engage directly with guests. A positive attitude, teamwork, and commitment to cleanliness, safety, and quality are essential for success.
