Position Summary:
The Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and basic vehicle services on customer vehicles in a fast-paced dealership environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring vehicle safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction through high-quality preventative maintenance services.
Stellantis (Dodge, Ram, Chrysler, Jeep) experience is preferred but not required. This is an excellent entry-level or early-career opportunity for individuals looking to grow within a dealership service department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report additional service needs
- Rotate tires and inspect tire condition and wear
- Check and top off vehicle fluids as needed
- Perform multi-point inspections following dealership and manufacturer guidelines
- Maintain accurate documentation of services performed
- Communicate findings to service advisors or technicians as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures
- Assist technicians and service team members as needed
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous automotive or quick lube experience preferred but not required
- Stellantis (Dodge, Ram, Chrysler, Jeep) experience strongly preferred
Skills & Abilities:
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and maintenance procedures
- Ability to learn and follow manufacturer service standards
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
