Teal Energi is partnered with a well-established and growing company in the energy/infrastructure sector seeking a Safety Specialist to support field operations across processing facilities, gathering systems, and related operational assets in North Dakota.
This is a highly visible role responsible for driving safety excellence, regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness, and operational support across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, and passionate about building a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the local safety resource for operations and field personnel
- Lead or assist with incident investigations and root cause analyses
- Support Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and compliance initiatives
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and behavior-based safety observations
- Coordinate employee safety training, orientations, and safety meetings
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable state and federal regulations
- Support construction activities, contractor safety, shutdowns, confined space work, and other high-risk operations
- Assist with emergency response planning, drills, and agency coordination
- Drive corrective actions resulting from audits, PHAs, and compliance reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field OR 5 years of relevant industrial safety experience
- Experience supporting safety programs in industrial, manufacturing, energy, chemical, oil & gas, or similar environments
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems
- Experience with incident investigations, audits, and compliance programs preferred
- PSM experience is a plus
- OSHA certifications are highly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills
Salary : $70,000 - $78,000
