Supports the materials department by performing a variety of routine functions, including organizing and maintaining stock room and storage areas, receiving, and counting materials, stocking, and issuing materials.
Essential Functions
- Checks and counts a wide variety of incoming parts, materials and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Visually inspects items for damage, broken packages, obvious defects, and shortages and notifies manager of problem.
- Organizes and confirms bin/stocking location has been assigned to all products.
- Ensures parts and materials are stocked and stacked safely.
- Moves material to proper department or places in temporary storage.
- Assists with quarterly parts inventory.
- Maintains a clean and orderly stock area.
- Notifies group leader, supervisor, or any other management associate of any safety issue.
- Informs appropriate department, group leader or management associate of any product shortage, defect, delays, or any problems affecting shipment to customers.
- Accurately issues materials to jobs and tracks shortages.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Other duties as assigned by management. Even though Stockroom Clerk may be your main responsibility, Teak Isle will require cross training in other positions, including Packer, Sanding, Polishing, Assembly, Finisher Router, CNC Operator, etc. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice depending on the needs of the business.
- The employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.
- The employee must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10 hours days with most of the time being on your feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned.
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperatures reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times.
- Must be able to work under time constraints and deadlines.
- Must be able to work in a dusty environment.
- Must be able to read measurements in inches.
Salary : $14 - $15
