What are the responsibilities and job description for the Valley Rush Dance Team Coach (2026-2027) position at TeachIowa?
English Valleys CSD is based out of North English, Iowa, which is 15 minutes South of I-80 and approx. 30 minutes West of the Coralville/Iowa City corridor.
We are looking for our next Valley Rush Dance Team Coach/Advisor. The ideal candidate would love dance, influencing young minds, and have a positive attitude for a program with lots of potential. In the past, we have also had a Middle School Dance Team. This idea could be entertained again.
A High School Dance Team Coach/Advisor typically is responsible for:
Coaching & Leadership: Oversee the dance team program, design choreography, & provide mentorship to students.
Team Management: Manage the team's activities, including scheduling practices, competitions, & performances.
Safety & Conduct: Ensure the safety & proper conduct of team members during performances & activities.
Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents, students, & the administration regarding team activities & progress.
Fundraising: Oversee fundraising efforts & manage the team's financial aspects.
Policy Compliance: Adhere to school district policies & regulations, including health & safety standards.
