Atlantic High School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Paraeducator to support students participating in a summer Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) experience. This role is designed to help students explore career pathways through hands-on learning at various community work sites.
The paraeducator will play a key role in supervising students, supporting their engagement, and helping ensure a safe, positive, and meaningful work-based learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
Transport students to and from designated work sites (district-approved vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided)
Supervise students at job sites and ensure appropriate behavior and engagement
Support students in developing workplace readiness skills (communication, responsibility, problem-solving)
Collaborate with Vocational Rehabilitation staff and school personnel
Monitor student progress and provide feedback as needed
Ensure student safety and follow all district policies and procedures
