Half Time Talented & Gifted (TAG) Teacher
A Talented and Gifted (TAG) Teacher facilitates the implementation of TAG programs by providing differentiated instruction, building effective schedules, and ensuring alignment with NAGC standards and the Universal Constructs. They also manage student identification, develop Personal Education Plans (PEPs), and collaborate with general education teachers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Implementation: Facilitate the TAG program's implementation, ensuring alignment with NAGC standards and the Universal Constructs.
Curriculum and Instruction: Provide direct instruction in higher-order thinking skills and implement grade-level TAG curriculum.
Student Identification: Coordinate the student identification process, including administering assessments.
Individualized Support: Build effective schedules, develop PEPs, and provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
Collaboration: Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administration to support the growth of all learners.
Professional Development: Provide staff development to general education teachers on TAG programming and services.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate student records, including PEPs.
Communication: Communicate regularly with parents and teachers.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of TAG Programming: Strong understanding of TAG principles, curriculum, and best practices.
Instructional Expertise: Ability to differentiate instruction and provide challenging learning experiences.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Licensure: Must possess or be willing to obtain the required teaching license endorsement for TAG.
