The Kingsley-Pierson Community School District is seeking an inspirational, student-centered, detail and solutions-oriented, K–12 Principal to join our leadership team. Kingsley-Pierson is a small, rural district with exceptional community pride, dedicated educators, and outstanding students. We are seeking a leader who is passionate about building a collaborative environment, enhancing teaching and learning, and ensuring all students feel safe, supported, and successful.
The K–12 Principal provides leadership, supervision, and administrative oversight for all instructional programs, staff, and students in grades kindergarten through twelve. The principal ensures a safe, positive, and productive learning environment; supports high-quality teaching practices; and fosters strong school-community relationships. This position reports directly to the Superintendent.
Key Responsibilities of the K-12 Principal

Instructional Leadership
- Lead development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.
- Support teachers through coaching, feedback, and supervision aligned to state and district standards.
- Utilize data to improve instruction, monitor student progress, and support academic growth for all learners.
- Promote MTSS, PBIS, and other intervention systems to meet diverse student needs.

School Climate & Culture
- Model and promote positive, respectful interactions with students, staff, and families.
- Build and sustain a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and high expectations.
- Lead student recognition programs, attendance initiatives, PBIS expectations, and character development.
- Oversee student discipline with fairness, consistency, and a restorative approach when appropriate.

Staff Supervision & Evaluation
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, evaluate, and support K–12 certified and classified staff.
- Facilitate professional learning aligned with district goals and instructional priorities.
- Maintain staff morale, communication, and positive relationships.

Student Support & Safety
- Ensure adherence to district policies, state laws, and safety regulations.
- Oversee building-level safety plans, crisis response procedures, and emergency drills.
- Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
- Communicate proactively with families regarding incidents, concerns, celebrations, and progress.

Operations & Management
- Oversee daily building operations, student schedules, supervision plans, and extracurricular logistics.
- Manage budgets, resources, and materials responsibly.
- Coordinate transportation, lunch, custodial, and maintenance matters as needed.
- Lead or assist with planning district events, assemblies, and community engagement activities.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a visible and active leader within the school and community.
- Build strong relationships with families, local organizations, and district partners.
- Communicate clearly and consistently through newsletters, emails, meetings, and public events.
This position will provide leadership for all K–12 staff and students and will be primarily based in the Kingsley building. An additional educational leader will support the K–12 Principal by overseeing the daily operations of Pierson Middle School.
