What are the responsibilities and job description for the JH Softball Coach position at TeachIowa?
The Keota Community School District is looking for the following coaching position for the 2025-2026 School Year:
JH Softball Coach
Season Dates: JH Softball Season is through the months of May to June
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Obtain a Coaching Authorization through the Board of Educational Examiners
Coaching Authorization Requirements (BOEE Instructions):
- 18 years of age (and high school diploma or equivalent if under 20 years of age)
- CPR training (Certification must be obtained through an approved provider)
- Concussion training certificate from the National Federation of High Schools (not the Heads-Up version)
- Mandatory reporter training for child abuse.
- 55-hour workshop certificate from an approved provider or college coursework which includes the following content:
- Structure and function of the human body
- Prevention and care of athletic injuries
- Human growth and development
- Theory/methods and ethics of coaching
