Moulton-Udell Community School District is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and positive individual to lead our Junior High and High School Cross Country program for the upcoming 2026 season.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of distance running mechanics, training progression, and injury prevention, along with a passion for fostering a supportive, team-oriented environment that encourages student-athletes of all skill levels to achieve their personal bests.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement safe, age-appropriate daily training plans for both junior high and high school runners.
Teach proper running form, pacing strategies, mental toughness, and nutritional fundamentals.
Provide positive mentorship, emphasizing sportsmanship, academic excellence, and character development.
Maintain open and professional communication with student-athletes, parents, and school administration.
Qualifications
Valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or Iowa Teaching License with a Coaching Endorsement.
Strong organizational, communication, and motivational skills.
Ability to pass required background checks.
