HS At Risk Coordinator/Elementary Guidance Counselor
Central Lee Community School District is searching to fill a position, High School At Risk Coordinator/Elementary Guidance Counselor, for the 2025-2026 school year. Questions regarding this position should be directed to Nicole Herdrich (nherdrich@centrallee.org), High School Principal.
Central Lee CSD is a growing, 2A school district with nearly 1,200 students and 160 staff members. Central Lee is located in SE Iowa in the heart of Lee County. Our campus is located off of Highway 218 and holds our high school, middle school, elementary, district office, and all athletic fields. The Central Lee District is comprised of Donnellson, Argyle, Montrose, Franklin, Charleston, New Boston, and Primrose townships. We pride ourselves on our strong parental and community support.
Central Lee is known in the area for its academic achievement, strong CTE programming, and innovative teaching practices. In 2021, Central Lee Elementary was categorized as a "Commendable" school by the Department of Education. Currently, the district focus is on improving literacy achievement and strengthening the effectiveness of our PLCs. The district is also a 1:1 iPad school for grades K-12. Central Lee has a strong workplace culture that was awarded a "Top Workplace in Iowa" award by the Des Moines Register in four of the last 5 years. In the Fall of 2021, Central Lee opened numerous facility improvements including a new student commons area in the elementary and high school, a renovated cafeteria, improved security for each building, a new fine arts classroom, and a new gymnasium.
