Position: Elementary Special Education Teacher
Location: Demoney Elementary, Estherville Lincoln Central
Summary:
The Elementary Special Education Teacher provides individualized instruction and support for students with disabilities in grades K–5. This position collaborates with staff and families to implement IEPs, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and support student growth in inclusive and specialized settings.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction aligned to student IEPs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers and service providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with IDEA
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians
- Participate in team meetings and professional development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Iowa teaching license issued by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners
- Appropriate elementary special education endorsement
