What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concessions Manager position at TeachIowa?
North Tama is looking for a qualified individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of the district's concession stands to ensure safe and clean operations meet the expectations of the community.
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Staff Supervision and Management
Recruit and schedule concession staff to ensure adequate coverage during events.
Supervise concessions during the event, providing guidance and resolving conflicts as needed.
Ensure all staff are following proper food handling and safety protocols.
Creating procedures and routines for people working concessions for set-up, take-down, and cleaning.
2. Food and Beverage Ordering
Forecast product needs based on upcoming events and order food, beverages, and supplies accordingly.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to maintain stock levels and manage delivery schedules.
Track product usage and adjust orders as necessary to minimize waste and overstocking.
3. Stocking and Destocking
Organize and stock concession stands before events, ensuring all items are displayed properly and are easily accessible.
Manage the destocking process post-event by rotating unused inventory and documenting spoilage or losses.
Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock levels.
4. Cleaning and Sanitation
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all concession areas, including counters, equipment, and coolers.
Ensure compliance with health department regulations and company sanitation policies.
Oversee daily cleaning routines and conduct spot checks to ensure thoroughness.
Arrange for deep cleaning of equipment and facilities as required.
5. Financial and Operational Oversight
Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems and ensure accurate transaction recording.
Monitor cash handling and ensure compliance with financial procedures and board policies..
6. Other duties as assigned by the administration.
