What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd and 4th Grade Combination Classroom Teacher position at TeachIowa?
Timothy Christian School, a Kindergarten – 8th grade Christian Schools International accredited school, located near Wellsburg, Iowa, is in search of a full-time third/fourth grade combination teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. All candidates should strive to model Christ and participate actively in the Christian church community.
This position description for teacher has a two-fold description. The first is in regard to tasks that have been assigned under this title and the second is in regard to the qualifications necessary for employment.
Description of Tasks:
Since this is a combination classroom, he/she would teach social studies, health, science, and Bible classes on a 2-year rotation. Math, spelling, reading, and language arts are taught at grade level while striving to meet individual needs.
Qualifications:
Professional
- Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
- A valid state certification to teach.
- Successful teaching experience.
Spiritual
- Possess a knowledge of the Bible and its teachings.
- Possess a knowledge of God’s will for his/her life.
- Evidence of a long-standing commitment to personal growth in his/her daily walk with Christ.
- Evidence of a commitment to the spiritual growth of colleagues and youth.
- Be in agreement with the Statement of Faith of the school.
- Lives in accord with the spiritual principles of 1 Timothy 3: 1-7.
